The M/otherhood Myth: Why it’s Time for an Art Revolution
Women are still battling an uphill battle when it comes to gender equality. M/others have an even steeper slope to climb (m/others is an inclusive term).
They tell us that m/otherhood is perfect, pure, and always blissful. We’re meant to fit into a myth. M/others’ voices are silenced, and their experiences are unrepresented.
The art world is no different.
It’s time for a revolution – an artistic explosion that shatters stereotypes and amplifies the truth. M/others Institute for Collaboration and Art (MICA) presents MICAfest 2024!
MICAfest Art for Change: The M/others’ View is a month-long, city-wide celebration of powerful and diverse voices in contemporary art. Taking place in Northampton, MA, throughout May 2024, this event challenges expectations through captivating visual art exhibitions and dynamic live performances.
